Today it was announced that current Spanish champions Real Madrid will meet storied Italian powerhouse A.C. Milan on Wednesday, August 8 at 8:00 p.m., at Yankee Stadium in a match between two of the most popular and decorated soccer clubs in the world.
With Real Madrid having been crowned champions of Europe nine times (1956-60, ‘66, ’98, 2000, ’02) and A.C. Milan having won on seven occasions (1963, ’69, ’89, ‘90, ’94, 2003, ’07), the match represents a meeting of the two most successful teams in European Cup history.
Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public beginning on Thursday, June 7 in a bundle package with tickets to the previously announced Chelsea FC vs. Paris Saint-Germain match scheduled for Sunday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. Remaining individual-game tickets for Real Madrid vs. A.C. Milan, if available, will go on sale at a date to be determined.
