Real Madrid coach Mourinho: I do not care what people think

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has stressed that he does not care about what other people think of him, as long as his own group appreciates his work.

The former Inter boss has received his fair share of criticism over the years for his often provocative behavior, but the opinions of people outside his club do not worry the 49-year-old.

"When you don't behave like everyone else, you create a negative feeling among others, but a positive feeling among your own group," Mourinho was quoted as saying by Marca.

"When you're a leader you can't forget that. I don't care what other people think, only what my own people think."

The controversial coach also highlighted the very strong relationships he still enjoys with all the players he has worked with over the years.

"When I say forever, I mean forever. I can't say that the players I had at Chelsea, Porto and Inter are my ex-players, they continue to be my players," he said.

"And they don't talk about their former boss, they say 'You are the boss'. They are ties forever."
